Tenth Annual OneBeacon College Scholarship Program

We are pleased to announce that the OneBeacon Scholarship program has just released its application for 2013! If you’re a OneBeacon employee or work for an insurance agency/broker/wholesaler that represents OneBeacon—and have a high-school senior at home—read on!

Sixteen deserving members of the class of 2012 will receive a $2,000 scholarship, which is funded by the OneBeacon Charitable Trust. Eight scholarships will be awarded to OneBeacon employees’ children, and another eight will be granted to our producers’ children. For detailed information about the scholarship program, including eligibility requirements, please review the brochure.  Winners will be announced in early June.

Applications, along with a complete grade transcript should be postmarked no later than April 15, 2013, and sent to:

OBGR’s Molenaar To Speak at Illinois Rural Water Association’s Annual Conference

Dennis Molenaar, Vice President of Risk Control at OneBeacon Government Risks (OBGR), will present at the Illinois Rural Water Association (IRWA) conference this Wednesday, February 20.  The conference will be held at the Keller Convention Center & Hotel in Effingham, IL.

Molenaar’s session, titled ‘Making Risk Management Work For You’, will discuss updates to traditional risk management techniques and provide insight into how water districts can mitigate their risk. If you will be at the conference, you can catch Dennis’ session  at 1 p.m. CT.
