With 25% of industry employees nearing retirement by 2018, there is a growing need to inspire young talent to join our workforce. That’s why we’re joining the Insurance Careers Movement, an industry-wide campaign that reinforces how insurance hits the career trifecta: it’s stable, limitless and rewarding. Following are a few simple ways that those in our industry can participate, as well as examples of our efforts.
- Share your career stories. Watch the clip to hear our employees share why they chose a career in insurance and feel a young person could thrive in our industry.
- Connect with college students. Attending alumni events, speaking on panels and exhibiting at career fairs are great ways to network with students. Look for our booth at the University of Minnesota’s Actuarial Career Fair on Monday, Sept. 26!
