Recently, OneBeacon Technology Insurance President John Wurzler published a whitepaper for the SANS Institute, a cooperative research and education organization serving the information security industry. SANS programs now reach more than 165,000 information security professionals around the world. John’s paper on Information Risks and Risk Management addresses the various exposures that companies face as they increasingly rely on twenty-first century technology, along with the processes and controls they can implement to minimize these risks. He also discusses the steps needed to react, respond and remediate in the event of an untoward event. And as a postscript, the paper notes the insurance coverages available to help alleviate the financial pain often associated with these types of events.
