We were happy to welcome our Farmington, Conn. colleagues back to the office last Monday, 11.07.11. The area was among the hardest hit during the October Nor’easter, with some residents without power for up to 12 days. OBPI’s has been fully operational since last Monday.
Hurricane Irene Status Update
A hurricane watch is now in effect along the North Carolina coast to the Virginia border. It appears Irene may hug the coastline, potentially making a landfall slightly east of New York City on Sunday evening. This track increases the potential for significant impact from Irene beginning Saturday night in southern Virginia and lasting into Monday in New England. Even though Irene should weaken somewhat, it will still bring hurricane force winds, extreme rainfall, coastal flooding and a tornado threat.
